Walsh Whiskies
Walsh Whiskey was founded in 1999 by husband and wife team, Bernard and Rosemary Walsh. The company started under the name Hot Irishman Limited to blend and bottle the perfect Irish Coffee recipe. The inspiration came when as part of their travels Rosemary ran a ski chalet in France and treated all their guests to Irish Coffees after every evening meal. In 2007, they launched The Irish Man Single Malt and quickly grew their presence. Walsh Whiskey has since established itself as one of the leaders in the Irish whiskey renaissance. Their triple-distilled, craft, Irish whiskeys – Writers’ Tears and The Irishman – are critically acclaimed and growing in demand around the world.
Since then, the company has built a portfolio of international award-winning drinks brands. These include a range of 12 Irish whiskeys under the Writers’ Tears and The Irishman brands, the Hot Irishman Irish coffee and The Irishman – Irish Cream liqueur.
