Whilst we try to maintain a very high standard of service there is always a risk in sending alcohol overseas. Therefore, we must warn our customers that there might be possibilities of customs charges or seizures when sending good to certain countries. In the event of such charges or seizures, Irish Drink Shop trading at the Celtic Whiskey Shop Limited will not be responsible for the payment of these extra customs charges and we will not be able to offer any kind of compensation or refund.
We will label our goods in such a way to minimise any charges of seizures but in some cases they might be unavoidable. If you have any concerns regarding shipping to your country then we recommend contacting us first before placing an order. Occasionally errors can arise in the pricing and information displayed for our products. In the event of such errors we reserve the right to cancel sales and refund the customer for the amount paid.
PAYMENT METHODS:
All online sales are securely processed by Realex Payments. Payments can be made via Visa or Mastercard, and you may choose to pay in Euros, US Dollars or British Pounds. If you are paying via PayPal you will be re-directed to their site to process your payment.
At the moment payment via American Express, Maestro or Laser can only be processed over the phone. If you would like to pay via one of these methods or by bank transfer, then we recommend emailing your order including shipping information (gift message, and/or special instructions) then phoning with payment details. IMPORTANT INFO — JULY 2021
PLEASE NOTE that from 01/07/21 the VAT rules in the EU have changed so that the VAT charged to the customer depends on the location of where we are shipping the goods to. Previously the VAT charged would have been the Irish rate at 23%. For example; if the customer is sending a package to France, the customer would pay the French VAT rate and NOT the Irish VAT rate.
