Cape Clear Distillery
Cape Clear Distillery is located in Ireland’s southernmost island and is proudly Gaeltacht (Irish speaking). Over the years, the small offshore island has experienced a lack of employment opportunities. Several years ago, some islanders got together to discuss an idea: to build a distillery. One that would provide employment not just to the islanders, but one day to their children, and most importantly, that would one day produce some of the finest Irish whiskey available. Clearwater received planning permission for a state-of-the-art facility in 2016 and have been working toward that goal since.
3 SQ Miles gin won a silver medal at the prestigious 2020 San Francisco World Spirits Competition, a gold at the Bartender Spirits Awards 2020, and a silver at the London Spirits Competition.
