Happy Independence Day to our American friends! A day for fireworks, parades, barbecues, quality American spirits, and of course lots of partying! On July 2, 1776, the Second Continental Congress voted and declared the United States of America as independent from Great Britain. On July 4, 1776, the Declaration of Independence was approved. For the day that’s in it, we’ve put together some of our favourite American tipples to help you celebrate!

1. Westward American Single Malt

A bold, award-winning American Single Malt that captures the essence and spirit of the Northwest. This whiskey is distilled like a traditional Single Malt but aged like a bourbon. Brewed with ale yeast and matured in lightly charred American Oak barrels, which brings the spirit up to a different level.  Distinct, rich, and bold in flavour!

ABV 45% | €76.50

2. Sierra Nevada Hazy Little Thing Session IPA

We're big fans of this hop-heavy and fruit forward hazy IPA. A great example of straight from the tank and into the can!

ABV 6.7%| €2.65

3. Clonakilty X Manor Hill Baltic Whiskey Porter Cask

A fantastic collaboration between Clonakilty Distillery in Ireland and Manor Hill in Ellicott City, Maryland USA. This fine dram is made in Clonakilty distillery and matured in Baltic Porter Casks from Manor Hill. Bottled at a smooth 48.5% ABV, it's limited to 1,220 bottles.

ABV 48.5% | €69.00

4. Buffalo Trace Cream

An award-winning bourbon cream from Buffalo Trace! It's handcrafted using Buffalo Trace Kentucky Straight Bourbon, making it a perfect marriage of rich delicious cream and smooth Kentucky bourbon. Best enjoyed chilled, on the rocks or in a cup of coffee for an indulgent after-dinner treat!

ABV 15%| €21.00

5. Gentleman Jack

A super-smooth double charcoal mellowed version of Jack Daniels. The 'double mellowing' process means it's filtered through charcoal both before being filled into the barrel (the Lincoln County Process) and before it's bottled. The end result is sweet and fruity tasting with touches of caramel and honey.

ABV 40%| €50.00

6. Jack Daniel's Tennessee Apple

All the unique character of Jack Daniel’s No.7 Tennessee Whiskey coupled with crisp green apples! Bold, refreshing, and exceptionally smooth.  Expect ripe green apples with warm caramel and toffee that balance with classic spice and a touch of toasted oak.

ABV 35%| €41.50

7. Aviation Gin

An American style gin which is quite a bit stronger on the flavour profile than say a London dry style gin might be, expect lots of juniper and herbs. Created from 100% rye grain spirit with botanicals including coriander, lavender, anise seed, sasaparilla, dried orange peel, cardamom and juniper berries.

ABV 42%| €49.75

8. Founders All Day IPA

Just as it says on the can, for all day, every day! A variety of different malts, grains and hops have been brewed to ensure maximum flavour. Our idea of a perfect brew after a long hard day's work!

ABV 4.7%| €2.50

9. Brooklyn Gin

Brooklyn Gin is distilled in New York City one small batch at a time. So small in fact that it takes an incredible 3 days to make 300 bottles! Made with several botanicals most notably fresh grapefruit peel, 100% fresh citrus peels, and hand-cracked juniper. Superbly smooth with a fresh, sublime palate and finish.

ABV 40%| €52.95

10. Herbsaint Original Spirit of New Orleans

Created in the USA to replace traditional Absinthe which was banned in the country during the 20th century. Traditionally Herbsaint has been used in a Sazerac Cocktail where Absinthe was seen as an essential part of the recipe.

ABV 50%| €53.95

11. Michters US 1 Rye

A straight rye whiskey from the Michter's Distillery in Louisville, Kentucky. This excellent rye comes from a single barrel, highlighting the quality of their craft. Peppery and spicy, with refreshing orange notes, plus sweet toffee/butterscotch. A top choice for cocktails, especially a Sazerac!
