Description

A Canadia-US hybrid whiskey that is both great and unique! This was created by a former distiller at Makers Mark and was initially distilled and matured in Canada before going through a second maturation on a Vermont farm. This is a silky smooth and refreshing rye that is both well-balanced and easy to drink. This 10 year old straight rye is made with 100% rye and offers delicious flavours of clove, mint, barrel char, caramels, and butterscotch.

Producer

In 2007, aspiring Whiskey-maker Raj Bhakta purchased a plot of land called Whistle Pig Farm. He teamed up with master distiller Dave Pickerell—formerly of Maker’s Mark—to bring genuine Rye Whiskey back to the forefront of American Whiskies.

They set about the idea that all aspects of Whiskey production would be on site -- from growing the grain to bottling the spirit. The dream became a reality in 2015. Since then, they have been experimenting with over varieties of Rye Whiskeys and are gaining attention all over the world.

Flavour

Complex, rich, and full-bodied. Warm. sweet. and floral, followed by rye-spice and mint. Butterscotch and dark chocolate later. Finish: Crisp and creamy, lingering butterscotch. Front palate warm and very long.
