Pearse Lyons Distillery
Pearse Lyons Distillery at St. James was born out of a personal passion for brewing and distilling, an entrepreneurial spirit, and a deep-rooted family connection with The Liberties. Pearse Lyons descended from five generations of coopers who supplied barrels to many of Dublin’s distilleries. He had a personal passion for brewing and distilling, an entrepreneurial spirit and a deep-rooted family connection with The Liberties. Together with his wife, Deidre, they set about founding the distillery.
The location in the centre of Dublin’s historic whiskey district proved ideal for the distillery and has grown as a highly-recommended place for whiskey enthusiasts and tourists to visit alike. The distillery has installed a new glass steeple, which is regularly referred to as the 'Liberties Lantern'.
Pearse Lyons Distillery at St. James has built upon the success of their sister distillery in the USA that produces Town Branch® Bourbon at the heart of the Kentucky Bourbon Trail®.
