Bernard Reverdy et Fils
The village of Verdigny has a rich history of winemakers in the Sancerre region. One such family is the Bernard Reverdy estate, which has been family-run by the Reverdy family for generations.
After studying in Burgundy, Noel joined his father on the Bernard Reverdy estate in 1980. Noel and his wife, Claudine, saw to build the new wine cellars, which are still in use today.
Since 2009, Noel and his son Romain have been managing Domaine Bernard Reverdy & Fils together. The Reverdy family believe strongly in preserving the terroirs and the sustainability of the vine stock.
Reverdy cultivate 9.5 hectares of Sauvignon Blanc and 2.5 of Pinot Noir on “caillottes” (dry stony chalk), “white earth” (chalky clay) and some flint soils. It is the blend of these terroirs that gives our wines their typical characteristics and consistency over the years.
