Description

A 2018 distilled Pot Still Whiskey from Tipperary Distillery. 5 years old, and distilled from 50% malted barley, 50% unmalted barley. This is matured in first-fill Rioja casks and is very limited-edition. Creamy and with a peppery finish, this is a delicious example of a pot still Irish Whiskey. Expect notes of sweet and fruity, lots of red fruits from the Rioja influence, balanced with tasted oak and tannic spiciness. The pot still gives it a distinctive oiliness that coats the palate.

Producer

Tipperary Boutique Distillery Ltd was founded in March 2016 by Jennifer Nickerson, Stuart Nickerson, and Liam Ahearn. The group have used their skills to deliver world-class Irish whiskeys.

Tipperary Boutique Distillery is based on the Ahearn family farm. Its unique location, combined with Stuart Nickerson's whiskey expertise and passion, affords it the opportunity to create great whiskey from its own barley, grown on Ballindoney Farm.

To date, the company has released three brands for the whiskey lover: The Rising, Watershed, and Knockmealdowns.
