St. Patrick's Day is one of the biggest days on the Irish calendar. The celebration is a tradition for many of us, whether we have a drop of Irish blood or not. If you're joining in the fun, you will definitely need a few great drinks for the occasion.

While we all know our popular Irish whiskeys, there are many other Irish Whiskeys to try for the Irish (and Irish-at-heart). So be sure to try some of these fine tipples at home this St Patrick’s day and get into the spirit—Erin go Bragh!

1. Writers Tears Double Oak

From the Writer's Tears Whiskey team comes Writers Tears Double Oak. Using a combination of American Oak casks from Kentucky and French Oak Cognac casks from Allary Cooperage in France this is an elegantly balanced blend of Irish Single Malt and Single Pot Still Whiskey.

2. Knappogue Castle 12 Year Old

Knappogue Castle 12 Year Old is a replacement for the original 40% edition. 3. Teeling Resistance 3

The hugely popular Renaissance Series from Teeling is back with their third release! Aged for a total of 18 years with a final finishing period in Muscat wine casks. Series 3 offers a different style to the previous releases with a fresh tropical fruit spectrum with mango, pineapple, and citrus to the fore and even a touch of mint and pear drops. A lively and more-ish single malt that is best served straight in a good nosing glass where the vibrant aromas can be savoured. Limited to just 9000 bottles and bottled at 46%.

4. Egan's Centenary Limited Edition Without Box

Elegantly complex and balanced with lighter notes of vanilla sweetness from the grain whiskey with further layers of flavour from the XO oak casks.

5. Tullamore Dew 14 Year Old Single Malt

From Tullamore Dew comes a 14 Year Old Single Malt which has been triple distilled and aged with patience in ex-Bourbon barrels for a period of 14 years, after which it has been finished in 4 different cask types; ex-Oloroso Sherry Butts, ex-Port Pipes and ex-Madeira Drums.
