Nestled at the heart of three provinces: Berry, Touraine, and Sologne, Patrick and Chantal Gibault's 30-hectare vineyard extends over 2 designations: Valençay and Touraine. Their vines flourish on the age-old terraces of the Cher, drawing up the goodness of two soil types: flinty clay and clay containing sand, silt and pebbles. The winery takes an environmentally-friendly approach to tending their vines. The grapes are harvested when at their optimum ripeness and turned into wine using cutting-edge temperature-controlled techniques.
