The Temple Bar has been in operation since 1840, when it first opened as a wine and spirit merchant shop. The current owner of the bar, Tom Cleary, remembers fondly back to a time when his father and grandfather would blend and bottle their own whiskey in their unique house style, dating back one hundred years to the 1920s. Each cask was hand-selected and careful attention placed on the blending process to create consistent, high-quality whiskey. The Temple Bar Whiskey was founded to honour this tradition and keep the custom alive.
