Skane
Skane is a popular Swedish aquavit, whose roots trace back as far as 1931. Traditionally spiced with caraway and fennel, as well as anise, it's something of a classic, some might say. The name shares that with the province of Skane in Sweden, known as the vodka belt, for their well-known vodka and aquavit production.
The fine taste makes Skane fit a large variety of dishes. It is excellent for all sorts of herring, crayfish and the milder dishes on the Swedish sandwich table.
