Ophir Distillery is owned by G&J Distillers has more than 250 years of heritage, distilling spirits to perfection since 1761.

Ophir Distillery's Ophir Oriental Spiced Gin is created at G&J Distillers by master gin distiller, Joanne Moore, the mind behind other gin hits such as BLOOM, Berkeley Square London Dry, Opihr Oriental Spiced Gin and Thomas Dakin Gin.

Opihr is named after the legendary port from which King Solomon, wise king of Israel, was said to receive a bountiful cargo of apes, gold, ivory, peacocks, pearls, sandalwood and silver - every three years.

Opihr Oriental Spiced Gin traces a heritage back to ancient spice routes, where intrepid merchants from distant lands would carry exotic spices and botanicals thousands of miles.

Today, Opihr uses hand-picked botanicals including black pepper from India, spicy cubeb berries from Indonesia and coriander from Morocco, which are then are married with fine English spirit at G&J Distillers to produce an exotic and unique type of gin
