Lough Ree Distillery in Lanesborough, Co Longford, was set up by Sheila Clancy and her brothers Michael and Peter.
Lough Ree Distillery is all about connection: connecting Whiskey tradition with modern technology. Connecting the gentle pace of rural Ireland with the confidence of a new generation.
They are the first distillery to ever distil peat as a botanical in gin. The peat creates an incredibly rich and smooth texture while adding a deliciously earthy finish to our otherwise bold and fresh Irish gin.
Lough Ree Distillery has won awards such as their multi award-winning Sling Shot Distilled Irish Gin – winner of 8 major international awards in 2019, Zesty Citrus Vodka – winner of Best Irish Vodka at the Irish Whiskey Awards October 2019, and Aiteal Irish Gin - Gold Medal at the World Gin Masters 2020.
