The distillery was founded in 2011 by gin enthusiast and former bartender Jon Hillgren and is the northernmost gin distillery in the world. Hernö's Swedish gins cleaned up at The Gin Masters 2013 and have continued to pick up award after award ever since including the Gin & Tonic, Contemporary Gin and Gin Producer trophies from the International Wine & Spirits Competition!
