Description

Crown Royal's XO was launched at the start of 2014. A blend of around 50 whiskies are married and then aged in ex-Cognac casks. This results in arguably the most complex whisky in the Crown Royal range. Expect notes fo sweet vanilla from the cognac barrels as well as spice and rich dry fruit, something a little different from your ordinary Crown Royal whisky.

Crown Royal was introduced in 1939 by Samuel Bronfman, president of Seagram, as a tribute to the 1939 royal tour of Canada of King George VI and his wife, Queen Elizabeth, the first of a reigning monarch to Canada. It was available only in Canada until 1964,

Crown Royal is produced solely at the company's distillery at Gimli, on the shores of Lake Winnipeg, Manitoba, Canada. The rye, corn, and barley is sourced from Manitoba and surrounding provinces, and water naturally filtered through the limestone beneath the lake.
