Description

A double distilled rum that has been matured in ex-Bourbon barrels followed by a finishing in Sherry casks. With notes of vanilla, red fruits and toffee intertwined with cocoa and natural oak spice, Brugal 1888 is a wonderfully inviting spirit that is smooth, full of flavour and perfectly balanced.

Producer

Founder Don Andres Brugal Montaner moved to the Dominican Republic with one idea: to perfect the art of rum-making. In 1888, the Brugal company was born.

Nearly 130 years and five generations later, the rum is still crafted by the Brugal Family under the words of their founder, "Passion, dedication, and hard work."

Brugal has seen much success since, with the launch of its first super premium rum, Papá Andrés, in 2013 which is awarded World’s Best Super Premium Rum

Aroma

The sophisticated sweetness of red and dried fruits, raisins and dates, complement a spicy woodiness, with hints of cinnamon.

Flavour

Well rounded and smooth with body and character. Perceived sweetness of toffee and vanilla balanced with peach, cocoa and cloves.
