Maturation

Maturation takes place in 60% American and 40% French oak barrels for 12 months and then a further 6 months in bottle before release.

Aroma

The nose is fresh and aromatic with notes of black fruits, toasted spices and hints of garrigue and mint.

Flavour

The palate is balanced and smooth with grippy, well integrated tannins and a delicious fruit character. The finish is quite complex with flavours of dark chocolate, mint, toasted spice and vanilla developing.

Food Matching

This wine is particularly good with steak. It makes an excellent paring for gourmet steak burgers with cheese.

Serving Suggestion

Best served between 16 and 18 degrees Celsius.
