Anselmo Mendes' wines have gained popularity in Portugal and abroad over the years for the quality of wines he produces. The fermentation of Alvarinho grapes in wooden casks or the use of traditional vinification techniques, such as fermentation on skins, are just some of the methods that set these wines apart in the world of whites.
The main focus has been on the Alvarinho, Loureiro, and Avesso varieties. These wonderful white wines have already won various prizes and distinctions all over the world.
Portuguese Wine Magazine Revista dos Vinhos awarded Winemaker Anselmo Mendes as Oenologist of the year in 1997 and have continued to award his wines ever since.
