2) Hot Toddy (Hot Whiskey)

This tasty hot drink originally started in India (under British rule at the time) in the 1610s.  “Toddy” comes from the Hindi word “taddy,” and was made with fermented palm sap. Fast forward to 1786, it gained popularity around the world and started being made with an alcoholic spirit, hot water, spices, and sugar. A wonderfully way to warm up this March!

25ml Blacks Maple Mayhem Blend

1 tsp runny honey

2 tsp Mixer Lemon Juice

1 cinnamon stick

3 cloves

grated nutmeg, to serve

lemon slice, to serve

Method:

Put the honey in the bottom of a heatproof glass or mug and pour over the whiskey and lemon juice. Top up with boiled water and stir until the honey has dissolved.

Add the cinnamon stick and cloves, then garnish with a little grated nutmeg and a fresh lemon slice to serve.

60ml Ginger Beer

½ fresh Lime

2 dashes of Mule bitters

Topped with ice

4) Black Velvet

The Black Velvet cocktail dates back to 1861 London, where it was created in the Brooke's Club as a drink to mourn the death of Queen Victoria's husband, Prince Albert. We’ve put an Irish twist on this by using only Irish stout!

Dublin City Brewing Parnell Irish Stout

Cattier Brut Icone champagne

Method:

Half fill a Champagne flute with the stout, then slowly top them up with chilled Champagne.

60ml Roe & Co Irish Whiskey

20ml Mixer Lemon Juice
