Founded by Arturo Lomeli, Clase Azul launched in 1997 from Los Altos, Jalisco, Mexico. Over the years, the label has long shed the original sombrero packaging it was originally bestowed with, instead favouring hand-sculpted, hand-painted ceramic decanters. Clase Azul is marketed as an ultra-premium tequila. The unique bottles continue to make waves in the Tequila industry with Clase Azul's most expensive bottling costing $30,000 features a ceramic bottle studded with amber and 24-karat gold.
