Martini & Rossi
The Martini & Rossi name comes from businessman Alessandro Martini and distiller Luigi Rossi. Martini & Rossi was previously known as Martini, Sola & Cia from 1863 until 1879. The name change came about when their third partner, accountant Teofilo Sola, passed away.
Martini & Rossi has produced and owned a wide variety of products, from wine to gin, vodka to fernet, but they are arguably most famous for their selection of vermouth. In 1993, the company merged with Bacardi, creating the Bacardi Martini Group.
