The Temple Bar

In times long gone it was traditional for bars like the Temple Bar to bottle and sell their own whiskeys, this is a recreation of that style.

The Temple Bar was founded in 1840 as a wine and spirit merchant shop and is steeped in the tradition of hospitality.

Tom Cleary, owner of the Temple Bar, and his family have been blending and bottling whiskey in the cellars of their bar for generations. A unique collection of casks always rested in tradition cellars. These casks were selected at the right moment and then blended until a style was developed that reflected the bar. Temple Bar Distillery recreates that unique “house style” Irish Whiskey of the 1920s.
