The Chopin distillery and its surrounding buildings date back to the 18th century. The estate occupies 17 acres located in the picturesque village of in Krzesk, a pristine district of eastern Poland.
The Dorda family acquired the distillery in 2003. They worked tirelessly to restore its traditional operations to their former splendour as well as modernizing its bottling and packaging facilities. The distillery still uses its original copper column still since its inception. Much of the process is still done by hand to ensure the quality of the spirit and keeps it grounded in tradition. The Dorda Family prides themselves on small-batch production and wouldn’t have it any other way.
Only the freshest seasonal potatoes, rye, and wheat, all sourced locally, are used in the production. The Dorda family takes great pride in the quality of the ingredients and even grow on their estate.
Chopin is one of the few vodka producers in the world that owns a distillery and produces 100% of its alcohol from raw, hand-selected ingredients.
