The philosophy behind Casamigos was to make the best-tasting, smoothest Tequila and Mezcal that didn’t have to be covered up with salt or lime. Casamigos was founded by longtime friends George Clooney, Rande Gerber, and Mike Meldman, who worked alongside their master distiller in Jalisco, Mexico to create this dream.
Casamigos hand-select only the finest 100% Blue Weber agaves, grown in the rich red clay soil and cool climate of the Highlands of Jalisco, Mexico. The agave is then roasted in traditional brick ovens for 72 hours. The delightful flavour is the result of an 80 hour fermentation process, whereas others tend to favour 48 hours.
Casamigos has since grown and won numerous awards since its inception.
