After 125 years of silence from distillers in Northern Ireland, the Echlinville Distillery became Northern Ireland's first licenced distillery, distilling its first spirit in 2013.
The distillery now stands at the forefront of Ireland’s spirits renaissance and has produced some of the north’s best-known spirits including Dunville’s Irish Whiskey, Jawbox Gin, Echlinville Gin and Bán Poitín.
Echlinville’s state-of-the-art stillhouse stands proudly alongside the 19th century Echlinville Manor House, former seat of the Echlins who were once among the most influential families in Ireland.
Echlinville’s spirits are distilled from barley grown and harvested from their own fields and floor-malted by hand the way the whiskey forefathers would have done.
Echlinville’s tours offer an immersive experience allowing visitors to get close enough to watch the vapours condensing and the spirit trickling from the mouth of the still.
Echlinville’s unique ‘stay and distil’ experience gives whiskey enthusiasts the opportunity to work with their head distiller to distil their own unique cask of whiskey. There, you can take your spirit from barley to barrel under the expert guidance of the Echlinville team while staying at the 19th century Echlinville Manor House.
