Born in 1868 in Cologne, Germany, Hugo Asbach spent many years in France learning how to distil wine. Hugo returned to Germany in 1892 and founded his own company in Rudesheim on the banks of the Rhine River with just two pot stills.
After Hugo sadly passed away, his sons continued his legacy and looked to expand the once small distillery. They follow in his footsteps and continue to use the best quality distillate and have done so ever since. Asbach can be enjoyed all over the world in over 50 different countries.
